WHAT DO WE THINK?
“If electric-vehicle batteries
for electric mobility are soon
recycled on a large scale, it
will mainly be for commercial
reasons. German politicians
and the automotive industry do
not wish to risk depending on
geopolitical vagaries. Neverthe-
less, both parties are acting too
cautiously while China builds up
its recycling capacities on a large
scale. Recycling in all shapes and
forms, including the second-life
project, is lucrative and can boost
the image of electric mobility.”
