Simulation Accelerates Development
of Autonomous Driving
New engineering disciplines such as artificial intelligence have to be introduced in the course of the development
of modern driving assistance systems for autonomous vehicles. However, estimates indicate that billions of miles
of road testing will be necessary to ensure safety and reliability of these systems. Only with computer simulations
thousands of driving scenarios and different design parameters can be virtually tested precisely, quickly and
cost-effectively, as Ansys shows.
